Education ministry mourns Kogi road crash victims

The Federal Ministry of Education has expressed its condolences to the families of the people who lost their lives in a fatal road accident in Kogi State.
On Monday, seven people, including four students of the Federal University of Lokoja, lost their lives in a ghastly road accident at Felele on the Okene-Lokoja-Abuja highway.
This accident has thrown the families of the accident victims into mourning.
In a statement signed by the ministry’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, the devastating incident threw not only the families of the deceased but also the education community into mourning.

“The Honourable Minister extends heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, the university management, the student body, and all those affected by this heartbreaking loss.
“He prays for the repose of the souls of the departed and for divine strength and comfort for their loved ones during this difficult time,” the statement read in part.
The ministry also extended its sympathies to the students who sustained varying levels of injuries from the road crash and wished them a speedy recovery.
“At this moment of grief, the Federal Ministry of Education stands in solidarity with the Federal University, Lokoja, and the entire community. May the Almighty grant the bereaved families the fortitude to bear this loss.”
