Expert commits to youth development in digital skills

    The CEO of Socialander, Bella Victor, has expressed his commitment to youth development as he recently organised the first-ever TEDxPAU event at Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) in Lagos.
   The event, which was held recently, marked a momentous occasion as diverse voices gathered to share inspirational ideas and experiences targeted at motivating the Nigerian youths.
    “TEDxPAU, an independently organized TED event licensed by TED, brought together a stellar lineup of speakers and thought leaders, creating a platform for the exchange of groundbreaking ideas. With a diverse range of topics spanning technology, business, and social impact, the event captivated the audience and left a lasting impact on attendees,” he said.
   The event featured notable personalities which include: Carl Cruz, CEO/MD of Airtel Nigeria; Prof. Enase Odu Okonedo, Vice Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University; Dr. Ikechukwu, Dean of the School of Media and Communication at Pan-Atlantic University; Eizu Uwaoma, CEO of Hexavia Limited; Ayodeji Razaq, GCEO of Red Media Africa; Jide Sipe, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Ecobank; Dr. Kennedy Nnadi, GCEO of Pennek Global; and Akachukwu Okafor, CTO & Co-founder of Shuttlers.
   He noted that the event was organised to serve as a platform for the industry thought leaders to share their ideas and experiences, inspiring the audience with valuable insights and perspectives.
    As the founder of the Socialander Foundation, he has trained over 25,000 young Africans in digital skills and provided internship opportunities to 5,000. The foundation recently partnered with GIZ to scale its digital skill training initiatives across Nigeria.
    He said, “The success of the first-ever TEDxPAU event in Lagos underscores my dedication to creating a platform for meaningful dialogue and knowledge-sharing within the community. The event not only showcased influential speakers but also marked a significant step toward inspiring positive change and fostering a culture of innovation in Lagos and beyond.”
