Firm unveils writing competition for kids to mark anniversary

A child rights expert and Founder of Kody And The Kids, Onu-Etim Cynthia Chikodi, has launched a special folktale writing competition to project the creativity and storytelling skills of young talents as part of activities to mark the10th anniversary of her firm.
“l am excited to celebrate Kody And The Kids’ 10th anniversary with this competition. This competition provides an opportunity for children to delve deeper into the enchanting world of folktale storytelling and showcase their own unique storytelling abilities,” she explained.
She stated that, “folktale storytelling is an essential part of our culture,” adding that it is crucial to encourage children to continue the tradition.
“I look forward to reading the creative stories that the contestants will come up with. Children possess immense creativity and storytelling abilities, and this competition aims to encourage them to embrace their imagination and showcase their writing skills,” she added.
She explained that the competition is divided into two categories – one for kids aged eight to 12 years and the other for kids aged 13 to 16.
