It is not an African or Africans only church though was founded by an African of Congolese descent: These are churches that were started in Africa by Africans and cater only to a solely African congregation. The Revelation Church does not fall under this category because it was founded in Los Angeles, California by Lovy Longomba Elias, a former musician of the now defunct group Longombas turned Pastor.

2. It was established in the United States in 2013: The church started out in the founder’s living room as a Bible prayer group. But in 2017, due to constraints of space, He moved out of his living room to a rental space and so the church was formally born. The ministry officially filed for registration as a domestic LLC in the office of the Secretary of State of California in 2019.

3. The name can be traced to the doctrine of the church: The prophetic Bible based teaching of the love of Jesus to the world. The founder claimed he saw a vision where he was directed to found his ministry. Based upon the revelation during his childhood, He started the ministry as a Bible fellowship prayer group in 2013.

4. The church is headed by an African: The church is currently being led by Dr. Lovy Elias, who is the founder and lead pastor.

5. Los Angeles, California is vital to the church: Currently Revelation church is only in Los Angeles, though there might be plans to have branches in your locations including Africa but its headquarters can be found in Los Angeles, California, at 580 E Easy St Simi Valley, California. And holds activities every Thursday and on Sundays. The church reportedly has over one thousand members with many more joining them online for services every Sunday 10am and Thursday 7:30pm.
