FRSC warns officers against extortion, indolence
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kogi has warned officers against indolence and extortion of motorists on the highways.
FRSC Sector Commander in Kogi Samuel Oyedeji gave the warning while declaring open a workshop for heads of operations held at the command’s head office in Lokoja.
He warned that any officer found wanting in his or her duty would be severely dealt with in accordance with the corps’ rules and even face dismissal to serve as deterrent to others.

“We are in Kogi as officers and men of the corps to serve diligently; and that we must put at the back of our minds.
“Any act that could tarnish our image as a corps should be avoided and we should rather project the FRSC in good light before the public,” he said.
He said that the safety of travelers on the highways should be paramount to the corps and urged officers be proactive in reaching out during road accidents.
