In a statement released on Friday by Olasunkanmi Olajide, the acting Head of the Directorate of Public Relations, the university condemned the heinous act and called on security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The university also sent a delegation to visit Idowu’s family to offer condolences and support.

The university urged security agencies to ensure that those responsible for the heinous act face justice.

A delegation led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, and Student Union President, Comrade Ibraheem Adeyemi, visited Idowu’s family on Friday to express their sympathies and support.
