Group organises entrepreneurship programme for widows
The Pat-Utomi Widows Support Centre has organised an entrepreneurship programme for widows.
The event, held in Lagos at the weekend, had in attendance widows and guest speakers, such as Mrs. Ebere Michael, Mrs. Justina Ekenke, Mr. Adegoke Adewale and others, to enlighten the widows on the importance of breaking the bias.
Founder of the group, Prof. Pat Utomi, in his speech, said the Centre started about 30 years ago to give widows the opportunity to stand up for themselves amid gender inequality.
Adewale, urged the widows to have focus on how to develop businesses that would make them become independent and powerful.
