Groups laud ex-minister for youth development
Various groups, at the weekend, met in Ilorin to eulogise the immediate past Minister of Youth Development, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim, for her contributions to human and community development in Kwara State.
The coalition, which included Dr Jamila Support Group; Intellectual Elite Youth Association of Nigeria (IEYAN) and Northern Youth Ambassadors of Nigeria, in a statement issued after a meeting in Ilorin by its Chairman and Secretary, Mohammed Yakubu Dantala Kaiama, and Abdullahi Lafiagi, the coalition said history would be kind to ex-minister for her “impactful contributions.”
According to the group, Jamila influenced skill acquisition for youths and women, distribution of fertilisers for farmers, and supported vulnerable people with palliatives in all wards.
It added that Ibrahim sponsored youths on skill acquisition and provided working materials for the beneficiaries.
Also, the Chairman and Secretary of the Intellectual Elite Youth Association of Nigeria (IEYAN) Hon. Shehu Hassan Baa and Comrade Alasela said the beneficiaries of the skill training last February would forever be grateful to her “for securing a better future for them on various entrepreneurship.”
They lauded President Bola Tinubu for finding her worthy, thanking Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support and leadership style.
The groups urged the duo to reconsider Ibrahim for another vital position for the growth and development of Kwara, and Nigeria, at large.
