Guinness Nigeria empowers 50 Imo women

Each of the beneficiaries was given a mobile bar, stocked with brand products worth N250, 000 at the 2022 August women meeting held in the community yesterday.

FIFTY women from Umuebie Community, in Isiala Mbano Council of Imo State, have benefited from empowerment programme organised by Guinness Nigeria Plc.

Guests speakers at the event, Dr. Osundu Nnaemeka, of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Owerri; Eze Matthew Onweni, traditional ruler of Ogbor Community, urged the women on the importance of mental health care, as well as being committed partners in promoting unity, peace and progress of their community.

Speaking to newsmen on the role of Guinness Nigeria in facilitating the August meeting, Marketing and Innovation Director, Guinness Nigeria Plc. Mark Mugisha, said: “The August meeting is beyond an event; it is an experience that Guinness feels strongly and passionate about. It is also a bold and exciting yearly coalition of women of Igbo origin in which the brand’s diversity and inclusion mantra is expressed.”
