Gunmen abduct ex-AIG Odumosu’s wife in Ogun
The wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has been abducted from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State late Thursday night.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement released on Friday.
Reports indicate that the victim was attacked by four masked men as she was about to enter her home. The assailants dragged her out of her Lexus Jeep and took her through a swamp to an unknown location.
Ogun State Police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said, “Information was received regarding the kidnapping of Mrs. Odumosu, a resident of Aminu Street, Arepo. She was attacked by four masked men, who dragged her from her jeep and transported her through the swamp to an unknown destination.”

She added that the divisional police officer has led a team of officers to the scene, focusing their search efforts on the swampy area.
Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has been briefed on the incident. According to Odutola, all covert operations and digital intelligence resources have been deployed to ensure the victim’s safe rescue.
Local chiefs in Warewa and Maaba have also been contacted to involve community security outfits in the search operation.
