Gunmen abduct Zaura’s mother in Kano

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Hajia Laure Mai Kunu, the mother of a frontline businessman and All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Kano Central Senatorial zone, AbdulSalam Abdulkarim Zaura.

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Hajia Laure Mai Kunu,  the mother of a frontline businessman and All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Kano Central Senatorial zone, AbdulSalam Abdulkarim Zaura.
   
Security sources told newmen that Hajia Kunu was picked at her residence in Rangaza area in Zaura village of Kumbotso Local Council of Kano metropolis.
Spokesperson for Kano police Command, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the development to The Guardian, said the incident occurred at about 1:30a.m. on Monday.
  
He said the state Commissioner of Police has ordered a massive manhunt to rescue and arrest the assailants. Kiyawa, who appealed for calm, said the Command is on top of the situation and assured that the aged woman would be rescued unhurt.
 
Also, Chairman, Ungogo Local Council, Abdullahi Garba Ramat, who confirmed the incident, said security agents have informed him officially about the incident.  He said efforts are ongoing to rescue the woman.
