How to Apply for LASUTH Anaesthetic Technician Training

The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja has announced the application for admission process for the 3rd set of students into the School of Anaesthetic Technology for the training of Anaesthetic Technicians.

LASUTH’s Director of Hospital Administration and Human Resources, Jelili Babatunde Oyekan, said in an advertorial release on Tuesday that the admission is for the 2024–2025 academic session.

Jelili said the training is for three years, during which successful candidates will be awarded certificates in anaesthetic technology.

He added that the application deadline is four weeks from the date of the announcement, and applicants should call 0912-642-1797 or 0806-308-6759 (Mondays to Fridays only) for inquiries, noting that no calls on weekends and public holidays will be accepted.

To be considered for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

– Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 30.
– Applicants must have five (5) O’level credits in WASC/NECO/SSCE at not more than two (2) sittings and must be within the last five years.
– English and mathematics are compulsory, while candidates should have credits in two out of the three core science subjects (biology, chemistry, or physics).

Application Process:

– Visit the Department of Anaesthesia, Old Administrative Building, LASUTH, Ikeja, to purchase the application form.

– Complete Application Form: Fill out the application form accurately and completely. The forms should be submitted along with the applicant’s credentials, curriculum vitae (CV), and two (2) recent passport photographs to the same venue where they were collected.

Selection Process:

– A written examination will be conducted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.

– Successful candidates will be invited to an interview, at which they will provide original copies of relevant certificates.
