Idris swears in four High Court Judges, two Khadi
Gov. Nasir Idris of Kebbi, has sworn-in four new High Court Judges and two Khadi in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Idris sworn-in the Judges and Khadi at Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
The governor, who congratulated the appointees, said it was a rare opportunity to have the privilege of swearing in six judicial officers.
He commended the State Ministry of Justice for being alive to its responsibilities, while assuring that his administration would continue to uphold payment of salaries and welfare of Judges in the state.
“I am also commending the state ministry of justice for being alive to its responsibility, as far as this administration is concerned, we have never found you wanting,” he added.
Idris announced that he had approved the payment of N300 million for the procurement of official vehicles to Judges.
The governor advised the appointees to bring their wealth of experience to bear, while urging them to maintain the ethics of the profession.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, presented the four Judges including; Hassan Kwaido, Halima Umar-Ibrahim, Lauratu Jagwadeji-Suru and Muhammad Nurudeen.
The two Khadi were; Kabiru Aliyu (SAN) and Atiku Muhammad-Bello under the Sharia Court of Appeal.
