IGP declares UK-based blogger wanted for alleged murder, abduction
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) monitoring unit in Abuja has launched a nationwide hunt for Dorcas Adeyinka, a blogger based in the United Kingdom, over alleged murder, abduction, cyber-stalking, extortion, injurious falsehood, and threats to life.
Adeyinka is also being wanted for offences bordering on abduction and injurious falsehood, according to a special police bulletin published on Sunday.
Adeyinka, along with Sikiru Ayinde ‘m’ and Folake Adekoya ‘f’,’ were arrested last year following numerous petitions from different persons bordering on cyberstalking, cyberbullying, alleged abduction, the threat to life and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.
The police bulletin posted on X on Sunday declared Adeyinka wanted and described her as a married woman, having tribal marks, and hailing from Ekiti/Ibadan.
The suspect, according to the police, has a light complexion, white teeth, a large chin, black hair, a large head, and frequents Ikeja, Ogudu, Fagba, Otta, and Sango in Lagos and Ogun States, respectively.
The police also offered a substantial reward for any individual or group providing information that led to Adeyinka’s arrest.
It requested that the suspect, if seen, be arrested and handed over to the nearest police station or to the office of the IGP Monitoring Unit, in Abuja.
“A handsome reward awaits any person(s) with information leading to her arrest,” the police bulletin read.
