Josephine Diya celebrates 70th birthday
• Donates To Old Peoples’ Home, Motherless Babies In Lagos
To ameliorate the sufferings of the masses and the less privileged, wife of the retired Chief of General Staff, Otunba (Mrs.) Josephine Diya has visited the Lagos State Old Peoples’ Home, Birrel Street, Yaba, Lagos, Nigerian Red Cross Society Motherless Babies’ Home, Lagos State Branch, Makoko Yaba and Regina Mundi Old Peoples’ Home, Mushin Lagos, to donate food items, toiletries, home utensils, and others as part of activities to mark her 70th birthday, which is today, February 15, 2020.
She urged all Nigerians to keep hope alive while striving for the ultimate success of both the rulers and masses.
She called on other kind-hearted Nigerians, corporate and non-governmental organisations to always give to the poor and the less privileged.
The Special Welfare Officer, Lagos Peoples Home, Miss Kafilat Mogaji, Vice Matron, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Adekola and Matron, Miss Caroline Inegbidion thanked Diya for her kind gesture.
Also, the Administrative Secretary, Nigerian Red Cross Society’s Motherless and Abandoned Babies Home, Mrs. Ronke Inyang, Administrative Officer, Mrs. Gloria Chikwe, and Welfare Officer, Mrs. Femi Oladunjoye, also expressed their appreciation to her.
In the same vein, Mrs. Adetola Adebowale, a Supervisor and workers at Regina Mundi Old Peoples’ Home, Mushin Lagos thanked the celebrant for remembering them.
Members of her entourage included her daughter, Mrs. Oluwakemi Diya – Ojie; Mrs. Temitope Bashua, Gen. Oladipo Diya (rtd), Personal Assistant, Revd. Ola Thomas of the United African Methodist Evangelical Church, Abule Ijesha, Yaba Lagos, Mr. Aramide Tola Noibi, a seasoned Public Relations guru and eminent Media consultant, a very Revered Elder, Mrs. Mary Adegbuyi, among others.
