The Kaduna government, yesterday, clarified that the 24-hour curfew imposed on the metropolis and Zaria had been reviewed.

The Kaduna government, yesterday, clarified that the 24-hour curfew imposed on the metropolis and Zaria had been reviewed.

A statement by the Coordinating Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, clarified that the Kaduna State Security Council had not reviewed the restriction.

Aruwan said: “The 24-hour curfew remains in place and is being actively enforced by security agencies, contrary to insinuations that it has been reviewed.”
BUT in Yobe and Plateau states, Governors Mai Mala Buni and Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang have relaxed the restrictions in both states.

Buni, specifically, reviewed the curfew by 12 hours in Gashua, Nguru and Potiskum in Yobe State.

According to him, the decision followed an evaluation of the security situation in the three affected towns.

The Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the governor, Mamman Mohammed, in a statement, in Damaturu, disclosed: “The relax of curfew for 12 hours.”
