Detectives of the Lagos State Police Command have paraded 26-year-old Victor Chibuike, aka Azaman, 33-year-old Kingsley Ndubuisi, aka Kango; 29-year-old Augustine James, aka Edo Boy and 33-year-old Lateef Babatunde, who were arrested in Igando area of the state.
Spokesperson for the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement, yesterday, said the arrest followed the launch of an investigation into a report received on August 7 that a 2010 Lexus RX 350 Sports Utility Van (SUV), 2006 Toyota Camry saloon car, an iphone and other valuables were robbed at gunpoint.
Hundeyin said three locally made pistols, one locally made semi-automatic pistol and 12 live cartridges were recovered from the gang.
According to him, investigations revealed that the suspects were notorious for robbing their victims of their valuables and vehicles along the Iba-Igando-Egbeda area of Lagos State.
“Efforts are ongoing to arrest their criminal receiver of stolen goods and possible recovery of other items stolen by the gang in the past. Suspects will be arraigned at the end of the investigation,” he said in the statement.
