Late elder Ihesie, 106, for burial

The family of Ihesie Okeri of Ndi Arua, Akaelu Lodu Imenyi, Umuimenyi in Bende Local Council of Abia State, has announced the passing of their illustrious son, Elder Azunnaya Nnaukwu Ihesie, popularly known as Iye Nna.

The family of Ihesie Okeri of Ndi Arua, Akaelu Lodu Imenyi, Umuimenyi in Bende Local Council of Abia State, has announced the passing of their illustrious son, Elder Azunnaya Nnaukwu Ihesie, popularly known as Iye Nna.

Elder Ihesie slept in the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the ripe age of 106. He was a respected patriarch, son, brother, father, husband, uncle, grandfather, and friend to many.

The burial arrangements as announced by the family include: a night of praise on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at his residence. On Friday, December 27, 2024, his body will be taken from NANS Cottage Mortuary to his hometown, Ndi Arua in Akaelu Lodu Imenyi, Umuimenyi, where there will be a lying-in-state at his residence.

A funeral service will be held at the Assemblies of God Church, Akaelu Lodu Imenyi, Umuimenyi Sectional Headquarters, Umuahia North (Jerusalem) District, Abia State, after which he will be interred at the same venue.

A reception will follow immediately after the interment. A thanksgiving and outing service will be held on Sunday, December 29, at the same church. The family expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for the glorious life of Elder Ihesie and prayed that his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
