The lawmaker representing the Akoko South East/Akoko South West federal constituency, Adegboyega Adefarati, has described the victory of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa at Saturday’s election as a testament to his leadership strides to steer the state towards the path of development.

According to the federal lawmaker, all stakeholders, irrespective of political affiliations, should rally around the governor in order to ensure seamless governance in the state.

While stressing that unity and collective efforts are pivotal in building a prosperous and inclusive Ondo State, assured the Aiyedatiwa of continued partnership in fostering growth and addressing the needs of the people across all sectors.

Adefarati, who emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the state and federal governments to ensure that dividends of democracy trickle down to all in Ondo State, stated that “Let us put politics aside and focus on advancing the interests of our state. Together, we can achieve the Ondo State of our dreams.”

On his part, a former commissioner in the state, Hon. Niran Sule-Akinsuyi, has expressed optimism that Aiyedatiwa’s victory as substantive governor will positively impact the state, going by the strides he made within the last 10 months of his emergence as governor.

While commending the people for giving the mandate to Aiyedatiwa to lead the state for the next four years, he stressed that the state will no doubt witness growth following the commitment of the governor to attract investors to the state.

According to him, the votes garnered by the governor were unprecedented in the state, stating that the margin of votes signposted the trust reposed in Aiyedatiwa by the people.
