LG offers free medical outreach to 2,000 people in Kebbi
Over 2,000 individuals benefitted from the latest phase of the Zamfara State free medical outreach.

Ngaski Local Government Area in Kebbi, has offered free medical treatment to 2,000 patients suffering from various ailments in the area.

Alhaji Maniru Abubakar-Warah, the Chairman of the council, made this known while briefing newsmen in Warra town of Ngaski LGA on Monday.

“No fewer than 2,000 people have benefitted from our medical outreach in less than 10 months of our administration.

“The medical team has successfully performed 100 surgeries to people inflicted with different diseases.

“The team had also examined and treated 1,000 people with different ailments and provided drugs for them.

“This is in addition to more than 50 pediatrics patients treated as well as more than 50 patients treated with eye problems,” he said.

According to him, the essence of the exercise is to assist less privileged people with health challenges to have access to healthcare services in the area.

This, Abubakar-Warah, said, without health, they could neither transact business nor cultivate to their farms.

He appealed to the people to reciprocate the gesture by extending all the necessary support and cooperation to the present administration of Gov. Nasir Idris.

The chairman thanked the governor for the support and encouragement which gave the council chairmen across the state the opportunity to deliver the dividends of democracy to their constituents.

On his part, the Head of Free Medical Outreach of Ngaski, Dr Mansur Alhasan-Libata, from Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Birnin Kebbi, said the exercise was conducted hitch-free.

He appreciated the people of the area for their perseverance, decorum and understanding throughout the period of the exercise.
