Mob kills two suspected one-chance thieves, sets vehicle ablaze in Abuja

Angry mob along Airport Road, Lugbe area of the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday allegedly killed two suspected “one-chance” criminals and set their vehicle on fire.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspects were intercepted after they allegedly pushed a victim out of their moving vehicle.
A commercial driver, who witnessed the incident, hinted that passersby and motorists gave a hot chase to the fleeing suspects and caught up with them near Dunamis Church.

“The mob chased the vehicle and eventually stopped it. Three suspects were inside, one managed to escape, while the other two were caught. One died instantly after being beaten, while the second succumbed to his injuries later,” the driver said.
“The victim was rescued and taken to the hospital by some Good Samaritans.”
The spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, did not respond to messages of enquiries sent to her as at the time of filing this report.
