Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has cautioned motorists and road-users to obey traffic laws, to avoid road accidents during the Sallah festival.

In his Sallah message, the governor called on the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to ensure that lives were safeguarded, by ensuring strict adherence to traffic rules.

Sule also called on security agents to be vigilant, even as he warned that the government would not condone any act capable of breaching the prevailing peace in the state.

The new governor called on Muslims within and outside the state to apply the virtues of Ramadan through sustained supplication, hospitality, good neighbourliness and the spirit of sharing.

“It is an obligation on everyone in the state to pray for leaders to lead with the fear of God and humility,” Sule said.

He, however, assured people of the state that his government would be inclusive, irrespective of tribe or religion.
