NECO releases Gifted Exam timetable, guidelines

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the official timetable and guidelines for the upcoming 2024 Gifted Examination.

The exam serves as the entrance exam for admission into JSS1 at the Federal Government Academy Suleja.

The exam is set to take place on Saturday, May 25.

NECO’s Ag. Director of Registration, Hajara Ali, stated in a release on Thursday that if the time on the question paper differs from the time on this timetable, the time on the question paper should be strictly adhered to.

The examination body said albinos and blind candidates are to be allowed 30 extra minutes at the end of each paper.

It stated that blind candidates must make use of NECO-supplied OBR customised braille sheets for the examination.

NECO also noted that bringing into the examination hall electronic communication gadgets like scientific and programmable calculators, mobile phones, iPads, tablets, smart wristwatches/glasses, pens, etc. is strictly prohibited.

It added that candidates should make use of a simple calculator, which is allowed.
