NGO canvasses more support for Kaduna IDPs 

EKO Smile Support and Empowerment Initiative (ESSEI) has called on well-meaning individuals to assist Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kaduna State.

Founder of the non-governmental organisation (NGO), Blessing Eko Sunday, made the appeal yesterday, at a programme organised by Hope Builders Foundation for Entrepreneurial Education in Kaduna.

According to the group, the government has been doing a lot to assist the victims, but the needs of the IDPs are enormous.

Some displaced children are out of school due to lack of finance, while those in school lag behind in the area of books, uniform among others, Sunday lamented.
