Bagudu pledges support to investors
Gov. Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, on Saturday, reiterated the commitment of his administration to support indigenous entrepreneurs to invest in the state. Bagudu said at the inauguration of a hotel in Birnin Kebbi that the government would support genuine ventures aimed at boosting the economy of the state.
The governor commended the proprietor of the hotel for investing in the state, noting that such investments would generate employment and enhance social and economic activities.
“My administration is committed to encouraging indigenous entrepreneurs to invest in the social and economic development of our state.” Such investments will no doubt improve social and economic status of our people as well as provide employment opportunities to our unemployed youths,” he said.
The governor assured the management of the hotel that the government would be patronizing the facility to ensure its sustainability. Earlier, the Director of the hotel, Alhaji Bukar Waziri, who spoke on behalf of the Chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello, said that the 60-room hotel was built to raise the status of hospitality industry in Kebbi.
