“He was a man dedicated to the cause of truth, integrity, justice, fairness, and good governance throughout his lifetime. He was a completely detribalised Nigerian who stood for justice and what was right at all times, regardless of the personal cost or inconvenience to him,” the statement read.

CUPP hailed Adebanjo’s exceptional courage, consistency, and defiance in the face of adversity, noting that he remained steadfast in his principles until the very end.

“He stood tall in the Hall of Fame of true and intrepid patriots, with uncommon courage and unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s unity and progress. He will be greatly missed as we continue to search for solutions to the nation’s leadership challenges.”

The coalition further described him as a nationalist who fought relentlessly for a just and equitable Nigeria, rejecting corruption and injustice at every turn.

“As we mourn the loss of a great African and Nigerian, we take solace in the fact that he lived an honourable life, never compromising with the corrupt elements that have held Nigeria hostage. He stood firmly for a united, yet just, Nigerian state. He came, he saw, he fought, and he conquered,” the statement continued.

CUPP extended its deepest condolences to his family, the Ogun State government, and all patriotic Nigerians, praying for his soul to rest in perfect peace.
