Katsina CP warns new PCs against corruption, unprofessional conduct
The Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, Mr Aliyu Abubakar-Musa, has warned newly recruited police constables (PCs) to shun corruption and unprofessional conduct while discharging their duties.
Abubakar-Musa gave the warning while addressing the officers deployed to the state, on Tuesday in Katsina.
“I warn you against engaging in all acts of corrupt practices, unprofessional conduct, and any behaviour that may tarnish the image of the command and the force,” he said.
The CP also urged the PCs to be committed to service and be good ambassadors of the command and the force wherever they might find themselves.
“Remember that you are not only representing yourselves, but also your families, the command and the entire police force,” the CP added.
Abubakar-Musa further reminded the new officers of their oath of office, emphasising that they swore to serve and protect the citizens of Nigeria with diligence, honesty, and integrity.
He directed the immediate retraining of the new constables on weapons handling and other police professional duties.
According to him, this will enable them well-equipped to discharge their responsibilities effectively
