Abia Police dismiss inspector for misconduct

The Abia State Police Command has dismissed a Mobile Police Inspector, Kufere Moses, over alleged unethical conduct.
The decision, aimed at maintaining discipline within the force, was officially announced on Wednesday in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa.
The statement read in parts, “The public is hereby notified that Inspector Kufere Moses, formerly serving at Mopol 55 PMF Aba and attached to UBA Bank Guard in Aba, Abia State, has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force, effective 21st February 2025.
“He has also been dekitted, and all police accoutrements have been retrieved from him.”
The dismissal, the command explained, followed internal disciplinary proceedings, during which the officer was found guilty of “discreditable conduct and offences against discipline.”
Commissioner of Police Danladi Isa reaffirmed the command’s commitment to professionalism and ethical policing, warning that officers who engage in unprofessional behavior would face strict disciplinary measures.
“Under my leadership, the command remains committed to the Inspector General of Police’s vision of ensuring a professionally competent, service-driven, rule-of-law compliant, and people-friendly police force,” he stated.
