Aptech holds 16th career quest
To equip Nigerian students with the knowledge of how to acquire foreign universities’ degrees with less financial burden, Aptech with its partner in Nigeria Raptors held a career quest recently for parents, students and other stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Aptech Regional Head, Africa, Nena Koli, said that the career quest was held because Nigeria and the whole of Africa is one market where students like to study abroad for a graduate or masters degree.
“This is our 16th edition of Career quest and we have tied up with Middlesex University, which is a very prestigious university from London. We like to give back to the society reason we gave two scholarships for each of our centres in Nigeria. This time, we are giving a scholarship worth N544m to the students to study in Middlesex University, London. We want to open doors to the students to go study abroad and come back to do well for themselves and their country or have a job internationally.”
According to her, with Aptech higher diploma programme, a student can get admitted at Middlesex University, London where such student will spend an additional year to get a university’s degree.
She added that across its centres in Nigeria, thousands of students are trained every year and about 300 of them get admissions abroad yearly.
On his part, Schools’ Partnership and Outreach Manager, Middlesex University, Dubai, Rakesh Ram, said: “Aptech has been working closely with Middlesex University to ensure that students have a top up option. If the students study for a diploma locally and they do one year at an international university, then they get a UK degree.”
He said Middlesex University is a good option for students in Nigeria especially as its Dubai centre is rated number one among universities in Dubai.
