Flood: Buhari visits Borno gov
Former President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Maiduguri, Borno State on Tuesday to offer condolences following the recent flooding that devastated parts of Borno State.
Buhari was welcomed at the Maiduguri Airport by Governor Babagana Zulum and Senator Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South.
In a statement shared on X, Buhari’s Media Aide, Garba Shehu, stated, “Former President Muhammadu Buhari has landed in Maiduguri, warmly received by Governor Zulum, Senator Ndume, and other political leaders.”
Shehu noted that Buhari, who had been on vacation during the disaster, came to personally console the Shehu of Borno, the state government, and its people after the tragic incident.
