Iniobong Umana dies at 63

Ambassador Iniobong Jeremiah Umana of Iwo Etor, Etinan Local Council, Akwa Ibom State, has passed away at the age of 63.
He will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 2, 2024, in his hometown, Iwo Etor, Etinan, following a funeral service conducted by Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel .
The service will occur at Iwo Etor/Ikot Akpan Ntembo Primary School, Etinan, at 11:00 a.m.
Umana was a dedicated and brilliant career diplomat who rose swiftly to become Director (Minister Special Grade) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He rendered exemplary service at several diplomatic missions, including the Embassy of Nigeria in Ethiopia, the Nigerian Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, the Nigeria Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, USA, and the Embassy of Nigeria in The Hague, Netherlands.
In addition to these postings, he undertook numerous special assignments, travelling to various countries worldwide.
