A tragic incident has occurred in the Barkin Sale community in Chanchaga local council of Niger State, where a young man allegedly killed his father and buried him in the compound.

An elderly man, Malam Abubakar Adawa Tsonga, aged over 60, has been reported missing in the community since yesterday, July 29, 2024, as he was last seen at home.

The Guardian learnt that in the early hours of today, Tuesday, July 30, 2024, his body was discovered buried in a cement sack.

A source from the community hinted that preliminary investigations revealed that his own son, Muzamir Abubakar, 29, is the prime suspect in the case.

The body of the deceased was found with the head, legs, and some body parts missing.

Meanwhile, the suspect is currently in custody at Kpakungu Police Station for further investigation.
