Pioneer Governor lauds club over cervical cancer centre project

The Pioneer District Governor, Rotary International, District 9111, Dr. Wole Kukoyi, has commended the President, Rotary Club of Isolo, Tokunbo Allison, for her promise to build a Cervical Cancer Centre at Isolo General Hospital before the end of her administration.

Kukoyi gave the commendation during his official visit to Rotary Club of Isolo, a club he described as one of the top clubs in the district that has produced two Past District Governors (PDGs), including PDG Michael Olawale Cole.

Kukoyi hailed the club for donating to Rotary Foundation and impacting the members of Isolo community.

Allison said various projects carried out during Kukoyi’s visit to include commissioning of water project   and sick bay at Ansar-Ud-Deen and Akinbaiye Primary Schools, empowerment of members of the community with sewing machines, head drier, one set of washing hair, 150 assorted food packs among others totalling about three million naira.

She assured of finishing the project  with support of corporate bodies, as she also solicited support of the government, to whom the Centre will be handed over after completion.

Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer, Isolo General Hospital, Dr. Saliu Oseni, appreciated the club for its contribution to the wellbeing of  members of Isolo community and solicited for procurement of radiotherapy machine for the hospital.

Cole lauded the experience and  maturity of Kukoyi as the regent of Isolo kingdom, High Chief Saliu Arowoye and head teacher, Akinbaiye Primary Schools, Salami Adebare hailed  the club for its humanitarian activities.
