Protests turn violent in Gombe, demonstrators tear gassed in Bauchi
Peaceful demonstrations in Gombe State have turned violent as youths were seen throwing objects at security operatives around Old Market Roundabout, Jeka Dafari, and Government House Roundabout in Gombe.
The Guardian observed that security operatives were at different spots in Gombe metropolis without hindering protest and movements, but the angry lads were burning tyres, throwing stones, and destroying private property.
The development forced the security personnel to fire teargas at the protesters.
The protesters were seen thronging the Government House gate, Gombe, to press home their displeasure.

Residents of Gombe said that hoodlums have been attacking people to rob them of their valuables and motorcycles.
Also in Bauchi, protesters who started from the popular Wunti Market to Kobi Street and headed to Emir’s Palace Road were confronted by security operatives who dispersed them with teargas.
The angry youths proceeded to CBN Roundabout where more teargas was fired at them to prevent the demonstration from reaching the Government House, Bauchi.
