The Rotary Club of Alapere, District 9112, has set a target of N19 million to fund development projects in Alapere, Lagos. The club’s new president, Peter Kole Ogini, announced this during his investiture.

This aligns with the Rotary year’s theme, “Magic of Rotary,” which addresses community needs in environmental sustainability, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

Ogini outlined planned projects, including public toilets, vocational training for youth, scholarships, solar-powered street lighting, borehole installations, and healthcare initiatives.

He explained that the community needs assessment guided their focus, with specific funds allocated for economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, health education, youth services, and disease prevention. Ogini noted that projects include vocational training, clean-up campaigns, maternal health support, infrastructure upgrades, and essential medical screenings.

“In line with Rotary’s vision, we unite to create lasting change.”

Ogini said, noting that Alapere has previously embraced smaller projects but is now taking an ambitious step forward. He called on the community and supporters to contribute to these initiatives, emphasising that every bit of support will help make the “Magic of Rotary” a reality in Alapere.

As the Rotary year progresses toward its end on 30 June 2025, Ogini encouraged collective action to achieve these goals. “The needs are vast, and while some projects are underway, we need everyone’s help. Let’s rally together and bring transformative change to Alapere,” he urged.
