The mother of Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu, JP, has died at 90 years. Akeredolu, in a statement posted on his verified social media pages, said: “My siblings and I announce, with deepest regret and total submission to the will of the Almighty, the passing into glory of our adorable, dutiful and ever dotting mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Bosede
Akeredolu, JP, this morning. She died peacefully in her sleep.”
MEANWHILE, prominent Nigerians, including Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and others, have commiserated with Akeredolu.
Makinde, who spoke on behalf of the governors, commiserated with Akeredolu and his family. He prayed that God would give Akeredolu and the entire family the strength to bear the loss.
Vicar of All Saint Church, Jericho, who prayed for the governor and his family, said the late Lady Akeredolu lived a fulfilled life and was committed to God’s work.
Fayemi, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, described her as a devoted Christian leader, supportive mother, confidant and encourager.
He said that the late Lady Akeredolu was a rallying point for the Akeredolus following the departure of their patriarch many years ago.
Mimiko, in a statement made available to journalists in Akure yesterday by his Special Assistant on Media and Digital Communications, John Paul Akinduro, described the late Evangelist Akeredolu as one who devoted her time to the service of God and humanity.
