The Chairman/CEO of Jimez Petroleum Resources Limited, Hon. Chief Jim Okolo Chimezie, has received accreditation as the National Coordinator of International Elections Observers by the UN/Switzerland government.

This accreditation prepares him to participate in the election observation mission as the Nigerian National Coordinator within nations in the membership of the United Nations.

The former Anambra senatorial candidate has been at the forefront of local, international, and global functions in recent times.

Credibility in the electoral process is one of the areas he is passionate about as an advocate of good governance.

He was first appointed as an International Elections Diplomat by the United Nations after intensive training, which took place in the Republic of Benin in March.

Along with others from within the West African sub-region, they were certified and appointed on the mission after the training, which covered general information on electoral observation, the legal framework for AU electoral observation missions, electoral processes, and the security of electoral processes.

Late last year, he was appointed and inducted as United Nations Mayor for World Peace at an event in Abuja.

Also, late last year, the United States Latino America Chamber of Commerce (USLACC) unveiled him as its Nigeria’s Country Representative.

USLACC was established as a front-liner and as a platform to unite and interface with stakeholders in the areas of sustainable economic growth, promotion of small and medium-scale enterprises, humanitarian and social services to boost development in Nigeria.

Following his accreditation as an international election observer, Hon. Okolo expressed gratitude to the UN/Switzerland government for the honour and pledged to give his best in enriching credibility in the electoral process.
