Nigerian, Okafor, gets award at WCF in U.S.
A NIGERIAN, Dr. Teresa Okafor, will receive the Woman of the Year Award at the Ninth Edition of the World Congress of Families (WCF) holding in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States (U.S.), from October 27-30, 2015.
Okafor, a Director of Foundation for African Cultural Heritage (FACH) and Catholic Bishop of Oyo Diocese, Bishop Emmanuel Badejo, are expected to deliver papers at the Congress.
WCF is the largest global gathering of parents, youths, lawmakers, legal scholars, academics, religious leaders united to affirm, celebrate, and encourage the natural family, which is the fundamental unit of society.
The congress comprises organisations in several countries, and most of its member-partners are active campaigners that the life of the unborn is precious and must be preserved in all circumstances and that marriage is between a man and a woman.
This is the first time the Congress is holding in the U.S. Among the dignitaries expected to attend this year’s conference in Salt Lake City are Dom Duarte Pio, Duke of Braganza and titular King of Portugal will chair a panel discussing the topic “Family and Society”.
Also attending will be Duke Paul of Oldenburg, the Director of the Brussels Bureau of the Pro-Europa Christiana Federation.
