In a bid to encourage Nigerian universities and undergraduates to be the best, Czar Entertainment has concluded plans to stage its maiden edition of Nigerian University Award.

The event, which holds later this year, will also feature a beauty pageant, a modeling show for university undergraduates (both male and female) and will be staged across the cities of Enugu, Lagos and Abuja.

The categories for the awards include best university student, best religious student, best-behaved student, best Student Union Government (SUG) president, and best student entrepreneur among others.

Speaking during the unveiling in Lagos, Legal Adviser to Czar Entertainment, Barrister Peter Alonge said the record label is determined to promote excellence in Nigerian universities and undergraduate, which is the motive behind the award project.

“The record label has decided to promote excellence and to groom entrepreneurs in the Nigerian universities which is why we ventured into this and it is going to be an annual event. This event is all encompassing and cuts across different areas of the student’s life. We hope to create an avenue for students to compete among themselves and become more creative so that after tertiary institution life, they have something to look back and feel happy about.”

The nominees and winners will be solely determined by the students which can be done on its website, www.nuawards.com.
