Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel; Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and former Minister of Industry, Onikepo Akande, among other distinguished personalities have been billed to grace the 16th anniversary of Love of Christ (LOC) Generation Church.

Founder of the church, Esther Ajayi, who announced this while addressing journalists in Lagos, said activities marking the anniversary, with the theme: “Harvest of Divine Victory,” would kick off on August 25 with a night vigil by the youths.

She added that on September 10, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Daniel Okoh, would be in the church to preach.

Ajayi stated that the church would use the opportunity to let the people know the faithfulness of God.
She said: “Celebrating every day is mandatory, especially 16 years of God’s faithfulness. If you thank God for His faithfulness, you will receive more.”

“The Lord continuously energises us and because of His faithfulness, we will praise Him.”
She gave the line-up of events for the programme to include sports, adding that the youths would also preach and read the lessons.

Ajayi, however, urged Christians and Muslims in the country to continue to work together and close ranks.

She urged Nigerians to be more patriotic, saying that all the developed countries went through turbulence.

The founder said that as part of her philanthropic gesture, 126 children were being sponsored by the church in four private universities in the country, adding that the church also gave free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms to some students.
