Ahead of the forthcoming Ogun State local government council election, a staunch member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ayomide Fatoki, popularly called Papa, has declared his interest to contest for Councillor, Ward 12, in Ita-Oshin/Olomore, Abeokuta North LGA.

In a statement, Fatoki, a graduate of University of Ibadan, promised to serve with integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to good governance.

He further noted that his mission for Ward 12 is to attract more development at the grassroots.

The upcoming local government elections in Ogun State have been scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024.

Fatoki said: “Today, the leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ward 12, Ita-Oshin/Olomore decided that I, Ayomide Fatoki (PAPA), am the right candidate to represent the ward and deliver quality governance to everyone.

“It is with great humility and gratitude that I accept this nomination. I want to thank the ward executives, and all our leaders and members for their trust and support. This moment, I officially declare my candidacy for Councillor of Ward 12, Ita-Oshin/Olomore.

“My message is simple:

– Our communities should be safe, and our environment clean.

– Our roads, parks, and drainage systems must be maintained.

– Education should be prioritised, and healthcare must be affordable and accessible.

– Businesses should be supported, and local jobs secured for our youth.

– Government processes should be simplified, and services brought closer to the people.

“I promise to serve with integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to good governance. I will ensure that local government decisions benefit our community and that I work tirelessly to meet the needs of our people, promote sustainable development, and build a united and thriving ward.”
