Oil theft war: Ijaw youths defends Tompolo’s security services
The Ijaw Youth Consultative Forum,(IYCF) has thrown it’s weight behind the Federal Government-contracted private oil pipeline surveillance outfit, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, and it’s Chairman, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also know as Tompolo
The group emphasized that the blackmails against Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited were baseless allegations that must be discarded.
The Chairman/CEO, IYCF, Ebizimor Preye Raphael, in a statement, strongly condemned the blackmailers and also warned that such people would be seriously dealt with, because they are mischief-makers who want to intentionally disparage and drag the image of the company in the mud.
He added that such elements would be vehemently resisted by all means.
He maintained that the security firm has stabilised and upscaled oil production output saying the company has not relented in securing the nation’s critical oil and gas infrastructures in the Niger Delta region, as they have stopped oil thieves and their illicit business.
He stated: “We will not stand idly by while some unscrupulous elements attempt to tarnish the reputation of a company that has done so much good for our region.”
He also commended the doggedness and patriotism off the firm in ensuring Nigeria’s oil production is unhindered thereby improving the economy as well as livelihoods of the people in the Niger Delta region.
Meanwhile, the endorsement of the firm by the Ijaw youth signifies a significant boost to the company’s reputation and a clear indication of their acceptance by the local community.
“As Tantita Security Services continues to play a vital role in securing Nigeria’s oil infrastructure, the Forum’s support will undoubtedly contribute to the company’s success,” he added.
