The Ogun State Police Command is investigating a fatal crash that resulted in one death and six injuries near Ajobo village along the Abeokuta-Ibadan Road.
The incident occurred at around 2:30 pm on Tuesday and involved a Lexus ES 350, driven by 26-year-old Abiodun Michael, and an Opel Zafira 1.8 Space Wagon, driven by 55-year-old Popoola Ishola Kayode, a resident of Odeda.
Kayode died instantly at the scene, while six passengers in both vehicles suffered varying injuries.
Police spokesperson in the state, CSP Omolola Odutola, said that the crash was caused by Michael’s reckless driving as he approached a sharp bend while heading towards Abeokuta.
