The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Reconciliation Committee led by former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, on Wednesday, lauded the disposition of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State towards accepting the reconciliatory team as the party moves to reconcile every aggrieved member ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The committee dropped the commendation at the grand finale of the three-day Southwest Reconciliation media briefing held at the Presidential Lodge, Oyo State Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.

Oyinlola, who is the Chairman of the reconciliation committee, said the party had realized its weakness and put up the committee to reach out to every aggrieved member, adding that the committee was saddled with the responsibility of aggregating the views of the aggrieved parties across the six geo-political zones of the country for necessary actions.

He anticipated that the committee’s effort would be replicated in other zones of the country.

Responding, Governor Seyi Makinde, represented by the Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal, lauded the calibre of personalities in the Southwest PDP Reconciliatory Team towards restoring peace and reconciling aggrieved members of the party.

Makinde noted that his administration had succeeded in mechanizing the security of lives and property across the state, thereby making the entire state governable.
