“Acting on credible information, police operatives attached to Mararaba ‘A’ Division arrested Salim Hussaini (22), Abdulkadir Musa (20), and Dimas Danja (24), all from Yelwa Road, Aso Pada, Karu Local Council,” he stated.

“A locally fabricated rifle, a knife, and charms were recovered from the suspects. They have confessed to being members of an armed robbery gang terrorising Mararaba and its environs,” Nansel added.

According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects attempted to rob a residential building in Yelwa village but fled after encountering resistance. They were subsequently apprehended.

In a separate incident, police detectives attached to New Karu arrested Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar from Mabushi, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and three others in possession of a suspected stolen blue Toyota Camry with registration number RBC 980 DA. The suspects were reportedly searching for a buyer for the vehicle.
