Police inspector stabs man to death at Lagos mall

The Lagos State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the death of a man stabbed by an inspector identified as Taofeek on Saturday at the Skymall shopping mall in Ajah.

Lagos police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed on Sunday that the victim is Anosikwa Patrick,

“The police officer has been identified as Inspr Taofeek, member of visiting 12 PMF squadron to Lagos,” Hundeyin said.

Hundeyin said the manager and chief security officer of the mall are already in custody assisting with the ongoing investigation.

He noted Lagos Police Commissioner Adegoke Fayoade, has directed detectives from the homicide section of the state criminal investigation department to handle the case.

The public will be informed of the investigation’s outcome, the police spokesperson said.
