Police nab suspected ritualist in Ogun, recover human jaw, black soap, others
The police in Ogun State have arrested a 29-year-old suspected ritualist, identified as Olajide Abidemi, from Abule Afa community in the Mowe area of the state.
Abidemi was arrested by security agents on night patrol, on May 21, at about 1:00 a.m. Confirming the development yesterday, spokesperson for the state’s police command, SP Omolola Odutola, said an individual identified as Jamiu Lasisi ,’m’, from Abule Afa community in Mowe reported to the station that at about 3:00 a.m., while on a night patrol, they encountered a suspect who was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for being out at the time.
According to the complainant, the suspect, after questioning, identified himself as Olajide Abidemi, ‘m’, 29 years old, from Abule Afa community, Mowe.
“Upon receiving the report, detectives were dispatched to the location. The suspect’s residence was searched. An object believed to be a human jaw, black soap in three calabashes, three Itel phones, one Tecno phone along with SIM cards, four vehicles with registration numbers, and four spent cartridges were recovered from his residence,” Odutola said.
