Police nab two for snatching lady’s phone in Lagos
The police in Lagos have arrested two robbery suspects; Junior Olanrewaju, 21 and Kehinde Olayinka, 22, for snatching a lady’s phone. The suspects are currently detained at Bode Thomas Police Station, Lagos.
They were part of a five member robbery gang that accosted the passer-by who was making a phone call and robbed her of her expensive phone. The woman immediately raised the alarm, prompting people around to go after them and apprehended two of them.
Confirming the development, spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said three members of the gang escaped while two were nabbed.
“Officers of Bode Thomas Division got wind of this and raced to the scene. They arrived quickly enough to rescue suspects from the angry mob. Investigation is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects,” he said.
