Protesters storm APC secretariat, urge Tinubu to remove Ganduje as chairman
Scores of party faithful from the North Central geo-political zone have stormed the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) with a call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remove the national chairman of the party, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The protesters led by Malam Hamisu Suleiman said that the continuous stay of Ganduje as APC chairman was in clear breach of the party constitution.
The protesters brandished placards with inscriptions like: “Return national chairmanship seat to North Central”, “President Tinubu, remove Ganduje now”, “It is illegal to allow Ganduje remain as chairman of our party”, “Enough is Enough of this illegality.”
The protesters who clashed with Pro- Ganduje supporters at the precinct of the party secretariat called on the Governors of the North Central geo-political zones billed to meet on Saturday to lead their voices to their clamour for the removal of Ganduje.
One of the protesters, Sani Ibrahim, called on Tinubu to return the seat of the APC national chairmanship seat to the north-central geopolitical zone in line with the zoning arrangement of the party.
