Protests: Security operatives teargas protesters in Bauchi, Gombe amid violence

Peaceful demonstrations in Gombe have turned violence as youths were seen throwing objects at security operatives around Old Market Roundabout, Jeka Dafari and Government House Roundabout in Gombe.
The Guardian observed that security operatives were at different spots in Gombe metropolis without hindering protest and movements but the angry lads were burning tyres, stoning stones and destroying private property.
The development forced the security personnel to fire teargas at protesters.
The protesters were seen thronging the Government House gate, Gombe to press home their displeasure.
Residents of Gombe said that hoodlums have been attacking people to rob them of their valuables and motorcycles.
In Bauchi, protesters who started from popular Wunti Market to Kobi Street and headed to Emir’s Palace road where they were confronted by security operatives to disperse them with teargas.
The angry youths proceeded to CBN Roundabout where more teargas were fired at them to prevent the demonstration from reaching the Government House, Bauchi.
